Yamaha Australia Backs Tayla Relph's World Championship Campaign

Yamaha Motor Australia has thrown significant support behind Tayla Relph and her 2024 FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championships that gets underway in Misano, Italy, on June 14.
Relph, a long time Yamaha rider and competitor of the Australian Superbike Championship where she has achieved impressive results in the 300cc Supersport division, has been selected to represent Australia in the inaugural women’s championship and will compete on the Yamaha R7 across six rounds.

Already based in Europe and deep into her preparations for the upcoming championship, Relph is delighted with Yamaha Australia’s support and will be doing her best to fly the flag not only for Yamaha but also for her country.

“I have always been a Yamaha person and to get this opportunity and support via Yamaha Motor Australia is amazing and I look forward to working with everyone at Yamaha to produce the best possible results I can and see if we can win a world championship.

Things are on track for Relph who already in pre-season testing and shown she has the speed and experience to run with the fastest women in the world and feels this extra boost from Yamaha, will only strengthen her campaign for success.

“When discussing the arrangement with Yamaha, they were happy to find out exactly what my needs are and where we best place these sources to give me the best chance of success. I love racing riding the R7 and its my favourite bike,” Relph continues.

“At the first test, I was within a second of the fastest riders and feel there was still plenty left in me and the bike so now with this support, I can fully focus on riding my best and getting on with the job.

“Thank you to Yamaha Australia and hope this is the start of a successful relationship between us,” she ends.

The FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championships is a platform for aspiring female racers to showcase their talent on a global stage with equal equipment. Yamaha has provided perfectly presented R7 machines in race trim where riders from all over the world were asked to apply for the series with a final twenty-four were selected as the best of the best.
